An agreement, which was put under pressure on Fredrik in '92, with the owner who inherited the farm Solbjørg in 1982, then made both use and maintenance difficult.
Os Municipality, Samnanger Municipality, Ungdomslaget URD in Rolvsvåg, Os Turlag and several private individuals made attempts to restore and take care of the cabin, which ever since the war has been seen as an important war memorial, without being closed. The cabin was in a state of disrepair
